| 7 General Body Shapes For Women ....What Body Shape Are You? A study at North Carolina State University’s College of Textiles reveals some stunning facts. As a baby boomer woman, or a lady with a "not average" body you know those facts all too well from your experiences in the dressing rooms. Seeing the facts confirms that it is not you who is the problem in the dressing room with fitting into the clothes. The study reveals that only 8% of women have the hour glass shape—the shape used by designers of ready to wear clothes and sewing patterns. Of the 6,300 women surveyed by [TC]2 in the US in 2003, most women’s figures are either rectangular or pear shaped. THAT MEANS ALMOST 90% OF WOMEN WILL HAVE PROBLEMS FITTING INTO READY TO WEAR CLOTHES AND SEWING PATTERNS. THAT MEANS YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE 40% of the women were rectangular 20+% were spoon or pear shaped A little less than 14% were inverted triangles Which Body Shape Are You?
